Use the app to play music files stored on your device, which we call local files.
Note: Files or downloads from illegal sources are not permitted.
Spotify Premium lets you download up to 10,000 songs on up to five devices, so that you don't have to use your precious mobile data to stream your favorite music and podcasts on the go. Hi - I often get this problem whenever I download music to put onto my phone. What I find works is, have both the PC and phone on the same wi-fi, and have both open. Then disable the firewall on the PC. Once you do that, it should automatically sync your local files from the PC to your phone.
Spotify Won't Sync Local Files
Spotify Premium lets you download up to 10,000 songs on up to five devices, so that you don't have to use your precious mobile data to stream your favorite music and podcasts on the go. The only way to have local files synced to your iPhone is if the playlist they're on has the Download toggle enabled. Try turning the toggle off, then turning it back on (forcing a redownload.) If that doesn't work, you could always just delete the Spotify app and redownload it. The local files in Spotify will be available offline via Spotify on your mobile device. There are a couple of things to mention here. First off, Spotify only supports MP3 and M4P files.

If your file isn’t supported, we do our best to match it with songs from the Spotify catalog. The version we match with might differ from the original.
